Update at 01-08-2025
Bedford-Northampton would be one train, no change to access the Theme Park with benefits inherent of the rail boost/connectivity. See: https://brtarail.com/our-campaigns/
This is a golden opportunity and we need a round-table of support for making the most of what rail can offer to optimise gains and lower side-effects of negative roads proliferations, land used for parking endlessly, congestion, emissions and bad health and chaos reduced on the back of getting the rail foundations right.
Bedford stands to gain and an exact same meeting on-going as per the flooding and water issues, is exactly what is needed, not asking councils for money they do not have, but bringing investors to a table, buying into ideas, working them up and getting official go ahead. 2031 is the opening date, what foundationally can we do now? and then? and by 2035? I have 7 years to give before I retire, so I am willing to be involved, but need powers and the public to tango to get the essential forumaic and dynamic inputs brought together.
I attach our flyer for what we wish to see and a perusal of our updated web pages can be instructive too of our agenda: https://brtarail.com/our-campaigns/ Our membership and Forums are open to all, so all welcome. It is good to talk as they say!
